Fish fried to order, lovely light batter and flaky fish. Chips were tasty and a generous portion. All staff serving were very friendly and polite. This place deserves to be much busier and with tables and chairs outside it's a great spot to eat overlooking the beach.

Our family of four enjoyed a cracking fish and chips on the beach. The queue was long but moved quickly and it was worth the wait. Freshly fried, light crispy batter and chunky fish! Delish!

I wish we could give 10 / 10 stars. Popped over to play the penny arcades & have a walk on the pier, stopped of here for a bite to eat on the outdoor benches ...... wonderful F&C. Proper chips with light batter on the fish & cracking curry sauce. I even went back to say thank you. It was THAT tasty. This will be out go too grub stop from now on.

The BEST fish and chips I've had in a very long time. The chips were nicely brown not the pale anemic type you get from some places, with a decent portion size too. The fish was delicious, with a crispy batter that wasn't too greasy. Add in a good helping of scraps and lots of lovely salt and vinegar. The staff were lovely and extremely quick. So I'd highly recommend Oscars fish and chips.

Hi Oscar's thanks for a great lunch we are the Thornaby walking group and at the end of the walk we all enjoyed our fish and chips, we all got served immediately and the food was great, the best time thing was that I ordered exactly the same last year and this year and your prices seemed the same, well done see you again

I've noticed that not all seaside chippies get it right, but this one? Oh man, they nailed it! Fish was thick and fresh, better crisp but light, and the chips? Perfection. Not too oily, not too dry__just right. Even the portion size was great! I’ll be back soon.
